Tattoos and Sun

I have written some about tattoos and sun and how they really don’t mix well. But today I wanted to add a little something that I have not touched on about tattoos and sun. A lot of times people will get tattoos when they are on vacation and a lot of times when you are on vacation you are somewhere , where it is very sunny. This could become a little bit of a problem if you get fresh ink while there or have gotten fresh ink before your trip.

Are Tattoos A Fad?

I know a lot of you reading this might not have even given this any thought or you simple think that they are not a fad they are here to stay. But you honestly never know if they will ever come so taboo like they were once before. Yes, I will admit that society in general is a little more forgiving and more open to people having tattoos. But will it always be this way? I personally hope it will because I don’t want to be perceived as an outcast or lesser of a person because I have tattoos.

No Age Limit For Tattooing In Sweden

If you live in the United States you are probably aware that the legal age for someone to get a tattoo is 18 years old. Well I actually didn’t really give this any thought until I was checking out the tattoo news for today. But apparently in Sweden there is no age limit for someone to get a tattoo. But this could change in the future. Due to some parents of underage (kids under 18) beingfurious about their children coming home with tattoos. One mother went so far as to calling the police. But there is not a law specifying a person has to be to get a tattoo. Here’s what a policeman had to say about that complaint.

It has became fairly popular and a lot more common for people who have lost a loved one or a dear friend to get something tattooed on their body in remembrance of that person. There is no doubt that tattooing has become extremely popular over the past couple of years even decades. But there are still a lot of people out there that consider them trashy, inappropriate and not acceptable.

Celebrity Tattoos: Megan Fox

The beautiful Transformers star is a avid tattoo lover and has several of her own. A lot of people may not understand her tattoos and I’ve read a lot of people think they are tacky. But people don’t get tattoos for other people they get them for themselves and I’m sure every tattoo that Megan has, has a special meaning to her.

Megan tattoos include:

A portrait of Marilyn Monroe on her right forearm, star and crescent moon on her right leg, symbol for strength on the back of her neck, a Shakespeare quote on her back, some tribal symbols, and a “Brian? on her stomach, as well as a poem she wrote that’s on her ribcage.

I have just realized that there are a lot more things I could inform all you tattoo-less people on, who are out there wondering what all is involved with getting a tattoo. To recap, yes it hurts to get one and yes you will experience some pain afterwards. But there is a lot more to it. Another question that I often get asked but simply crossed my mind yesterday is “Do you bleed when you get a tattoo?? The answer to that question is yes. I bleed a little bit when I got both of my tattoos. Of course I would imagine that every person is different and the size and location on your body will determine how much you may or may not bleed.

How To Care For Your Tattoo

Now that you have gotten your long awaited tattoo you need to know how to properly care for it to ensure that the tattoo will remain as good as it did the day you got it. The first and probably the most important thing you have got to remember and try your hardest from not doing is scratching it. Trust me your tattoo is going to itch like a mother and all you will want to do is scratch it. Well you can’t, if you do it will make the scab came off. You need to let the scab fall off on its on, otherwise you will have little white dots all over you tattoo where the ink came off. Your tattoo usually starts to scab up within the first couple of days of getting your tat, this is normal and it means your tattoo has started the healing process.

I think it if pretty safe to say that most people probably know that the most common place for a women to get a tattoo is on her lower back or somewhere else on her back. It seems that women also like the ankle and any other place on their body that is easily concealed with clothing. Whether you fit this bill or not, research has found out that women tend to get tattoos on the lower back and other places that are normally covered up because they think it will help boost the erotic side of themselves.

So You Want A Tattoo

So you have made the decision to get a tattoo, that is great, but there are a couple things you need to think about before you set off and get inked. The biggest decision you need to make is what kind of tattoo you are going to get. Did you know that nearly 35% of people regret their first tattoo? Well I hate to say that I fall into that category. I don’t necessarily regret my first tattoo, but I don’t exactly like it anymore. So you need to be 110% sure you will be okay having this tattoo on your body for the rest of your life. Secondly, if this will be your first tattoo try not to go over board with it, ie don’t get something extremely huge that covers a large area of your body.
